Project Description

Design work commenced in early 2023 to Design and Construct the new commercial spaces as part of the long term strategy for Dorset Innovation Park. The Park is currently the only economic development site with Enterprise Zone status and is seeing significant investment and growth in technology and engineering based business.

Spetisbury Construction developed the design of the properties with Dorset Council, with several adaptions to meet the needs of incoming tenants, the units are also designed to be flexible and accommodate potential needs of incoming businesses. All consents were achieved during 2023 and Construction commenced late in the year. The units are founded on piles with a ground bearing slab, one of the challenges for the project was managing surface water and this was designed to include large volumes of attenuation below the hard paved area and a local Swale.
