Project Description

The project involves the safe removal of asbestos and the demolition of the existing church hall, followed by the construction of a modern church facility with a seating capacity of 252.

The new church halls features a steel frame structure with a beam and block floor, topped with a warm insulated green sedum ecology roof. Additionally, the project includes the refurbishment and upgrading of the current church hall facilities. To ensure comfort, the building is equipped with air source heat pumps and underfloor heating, complemented by a comprehensive ventilation system.

A Sustainable Eco Building

Energy efficiency will be a priority, highlighted by the installation of LED programmable lighting and an integrated fire alarm system. The church hall contain fully equipped commercial kitchen facilities and a dedicated stage for performances and events. To address sustainability, the project incorporate sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS) and provides adequate car parking areas, all while maintaining a focus on environmental impact.

Throughout the project, adherence to local regulations regarding asbestos removal will be crucial, and contractors experienced in sustainable building practices will be engaged. The project aims to achieve excellent ratings in the Considerate Constructors scheme and a “Good” rating in BREEAM accreditation, reflecting its commitment to high standards in construction and environmental performance.
