Church of the Good Shepherd | Poole

Project Description

The Church of the Good Shepherd (COGS) in Poole required the construction of a new church building on their original site. The first building constructed in 1931 and temporarily, had served the local community for almost 100 years. In 2023 this was demolished and the new building works commenced. The recently designed building has now been completed using a timber frame construction with Glulam structural frames. Also, external renovation included that the building be clad with brick and cladding board. The benefits of using the timber frame structure were almost instant meaning an efficient construction of the Glulam structure, frame and roof. The finished building looks superb inside and out, and will no doubt stand proud for another 100 years.
